In emergency care, what costs the most is waiting for a test. Our unit has permanent priority access to CT and the laboratory: a full work-up — biology, imaging, specialist opinion — is completed in under two hours in most situations. Triage is done by an experienced nurse on arrival, on a five-level scale, and a senior physician is present twenty-four hours a day — never a resident alone.
